Test shoot of toy car/model car collection shoot (mentioned in Jan)

This test shoot was done on the 8th February in the studio. Unfortunately not all the dust was removed from the model cars before travelling all the way to the studio, so, a reshoot is being done on the 20th February.

Here are some, still good, examples from the test shoot:

Funny Side preview event [4th Feb] - Documentary filming

Last week I filmed the 'Funny Side' preview event, which coincided with start of the 'Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival'. The filming is for my groups Short Documentary video project, which we're doing on the curation of the Funny Side exhibition at Embrace Arts, Leicester. The filming went well, though it was a close call as there were only 3 minutes of space left of the tape at the end!

From the photographic vault: Local Lib Dem photos

Recently, I dug up some photos I took of Zufar Haq, a Lib Dem candidate for the Leicester area, which could then be used in promotional material (I've added my new watermark to replace the old, basic one I had at the time).

Adventures in Art preview event - some images

I was commissioned to photograph the aforementioned preview event on the14th Jan.

Here are some of the images that I took at the preview event.

'The Art of Visual Perception' preview event at Embrace Arts

Yesterday, I photographed the preview event for The Art of Visual Perception exhibition, alongside Colin Brooks. Earlier, I finished editing the photographs and have ended with 30 chosen images. Here are a selection of them:

Commission to photograph toy car collection

This involves photographing a set of 15 or so matchbox-sized die-cast cars in a studio setting (I can choose the lighting etc.), then presenting them in photo-book form (similar to my keyring book project in my 'Gareth's FD photo blog'). I am looking forward to experimenting with the lighting to create something a bit different to what I did with the keyring book project.

'The Art of Visual Perception' preview event at Embrace Arts: 12th Jan

I'm photographing the preview event for the exhibition I helped set up last month, this Thursday evening at 6:30. Looking forward to it as it will be a good test of my indoor lighting skills.. better hire the Metz Flash for this...
